So I've been fooling with these ACEOs -- little cards by artists, 2.5 x 3.5 -- and I kinda wanted to do a project with a set of cards that included phrases taken from my life, blog, etc. Kind of like thoroughly random journaling devoid of context. (I cannot shake the feeling that my old art professor would have approved, but I'm going ahead with it anyway.)
So, when my boyfriend was playing Dead Space recently, I heard myself utter the phrase you see before you, and it struck me for some reason, so...um...there it is. The jar is a modified version of one I did in a long ago painting, printed, cut out on heavy illo board to give it a 3-D kind of effect, and worked over with colored pencil and pen. And seriously, IS it ever a good sign? Really? Original is for sale, wee little limited edition prints will be available at some point. |

I fount those art cards at an art materials trade show and bought a few packs. definitely cool and will have to have a bunch to swap when i finally start hitting cons again. now if i could only find the ones that i've already done :-/
