Still stuck in "cute" mode. It occurred to me, however, that making a fennec or a hedgehog cute is shooting crippled fish in a barrel with a shotgun. They're already painfully adorable.
Trying to make a naked mole rat cute, however, seemed like a worthy enough endeavor--mixed media, pretty small. I don't know why I often find myself painting naked mole rats. (I mean, with wombats, I have an excuse.) I have a horrible sinking feeling that when they find my body crumpled in front of my last painting, paint still wet on the brush in my cold dead fingers, it'll be a painting of a naked mole rat.
