(I have nothing against art critics. My mother was one for awhile. The phrase just occured to me as I was wandering through the kitchen, and the rest, as they say...)

That's brilliant! Using a squirrel (pest) metaphor to describe an art critic. They may look cute and cudly, but as you can tell by the furtive look on in their eyes, they have more nefarious ideas in mind. I love the way you have captured the critic between criticisms...but you can tell one is looming.
