Women and concrete, women and concrete...right, it's a theme of mine. This is one of my favorite paintings, the classic pin-up pose on an irritable punk, the grungy walls vs the flowing tattoo...etc. The grafitti scrawled 'cross the walls is all from "Gems of the Equinox" by Aleister Crowley, which makes me sound much darker and more brooding than I am, but the simple fact was that I'd already written "Ursula wuz here" about fifty times and was thrashing about for something a little more interesting, and whatever else you may think about Crowley, phrases like "And there shall be no more red roses, but only white, for she has poured the blood of all living things into her cup," make really killer incoherent grafitti.
This was Painter, Photoshop, and some pencil sketching.
Gorgeous; here I sit, imagining formalwear for the orchid woman that'd show off every single orchid without getting her arrested. Tricky! Hmm... black velvet with a curving narrow gauze panel? Something like that. XD
ah! the flowers in this are exquisite! I love the detail in them. and her hair is so cool. makes her look more feminine even though it's a boyish hair cut. haha, she seems very flexible.
this is my favorite of all your peices! i fell in love with it, the first time i saw it on elfwood. i just love the classic nude themed with the edgey punk. it is just so awesome!
Love her pose and her body´s anatomy is very good!!
