The world was probably not ready for the horror of a small, cuddly squash kachina, but it's getting one anyway.

Whenever I do art of mythological beings, despite the fact that I am motivated almost entirely by love, or at least aesthetic delight, I always get a vague feeling that I am bucking for a lightning bolt. Since I'm about as religious as the average ball of twine, I don't particularly BELIEVE in any of these beings, (and if they did exist, I'd assume they'd probably be good-natured about it) but nevertheless, there's a kind of nervous itch between the artistic shoulderblades.

On the other hand, since this is the Squash Kachina, I probably wouldn't get a lightning bolt. Perhaps a large pumpkin dropped from a great height, rind heated with re-entry, will come screaming out of the Void and clock me.

But y'know, I think it's how people will expect me to go.

My fangirling for Squash undiminished, I was in a kinda cel-shaded digital mood...

I love how the head dips in at the very end. That, what I would say, is what makes it so cute.

looking at art that is as creative and as yours and listening to Beethoven makes my mind rip open the size of the grand canion to completely new and absurd ideas. Its a fresh feeling for me havent had it in a long long time. Thanks.

but im curious...
What is an average Squash Kachina's lifespan?
Do they perhaps change color during seasonal changes?
Does a female SK exist?
if so what do they look like?
How does the SK reproduce?
And...
Do they come in different sizes or colors?
