Working frantically on art for the upcoming convention--and finishing a book--so I'm frazzled. Here's a peek at one of the little tiny pieces for the show, though, a wee 3.75 x 5 piece of that rare and elusive creature, the Clown Manatee.

Unlike most of its brethren, who are prey to propellers and nets, the clown manatee seeks safety in the tangling tentacles of the giant anemone. While small enough to avoid most boat-related accidents, the gentle clown manatee is prey to large predators, and increasingly sought after in the aquarium trade.

A wee little mixed media piece on colored paper. (Manatees! Such a glorious shape on the manatee!) Will go to MFF unless someone makes me the traditional offer-I-can't-refuse first...

If you say MANATEE a whole bunch of times, it's weird how it sounds *starts repeating manatee* XD Anyway, great job, here, the relationship between how a clownfish looks and the manatee's body really comes together most awesomely. You should request crititque on this. I can't wait to see how your book comes together...
