Free Comic Book Day is nearly upon us! Not having a free comic book to offer, instead I'm hoping to give this out as a free 4 x 6 mini-print. (I may also have a larger version for sale on-line, but you have to actually be in Burlington on May 3rd to get one free...)
My buddy Otter is trying to get a bunch of us webcomics geeks to do collectible mini-prints for the cons we attend--not a limited edition, per se, but a con exclusive, 3-5$ at 4 x 6, which fits easily into a cheap little photo album and will allow people on a budget to collect art from all their favorite artists inexpensively. I think it's a brilliant idea and am going to try to do it for each of the cons I attend--free comic book day isn't a con, exactly, but I figured what the hell, worth advertising! Got a book of modern rock posters the other day and have been going slightly nuts looking at the cool designs therein, so these two monotremes (echidna and platypus) in boxer shorts were the result. |
