Artist's Comments

Cthulhu's prize-winning black-skulled susans were the hit of the Garden Club. They were showy, long-lasting, and made great cut flowers, although several members argued that you couldn't really say they attracted butterflies if they killed and ate them afterwards.

I've been gardening a lot lately, and in the usual way of things, it spills over into art...

Wow...I designed a shirt with black skulled susans when I was young. That's crazy. I didn't come up with a name though.
And Cthulu as a little old gardening lady is amazing.

Used coffee grounds are the best mulch for many kinds of flowers, although it might make the black-skulled susans somewhat hyperactive.

And I just played gardening mama on DS today O.o

I'd put this on a shirt to wear in the garden. Bugs beware! Maybe a print run on cafe press...or even tshirtwoot? Not sure how you get a design into the latter other than submitting it. Just a thought!

Aww, he/she/(it?) is adorable! I've been gardening too, but I can't draw flowers and stuff. This inspires me though. :D
