Description
Or "How Ursula Learned Not To Paint With Iridescent Paint, Goddamnit." This is a really lovely original, done with a blue-green iridescent acrylic paint under the more conventional acrylic and metallic pens. Iridescence, however, while fabulous to the eye, does not photograph work jack. This came out a kind of apple green, with the irregularities in the paint glaringly obvious. I spent longer photographing it and setting up flood lights and re-photographing then I actually spent painting the bloody thing, and this is still the best it comes out. This has taught me to stay the hell away from iridescent paint.
Anyway. It's a leafnosed bat, who have this cool fleshy leaf-shaped sticky-uppy thing on their nose, still in the Burch-inspired stylized schtuff mode. 8 x 10, acrylic on Bristol. The original is rather niftier looking, and for sale--drop a note, or visit [link] if I've gotten around to updating.

*gasp* I LOVE him!!! That is beautiful! You say it didn't photograph well, but I think the variations make it... cool
