It's a guinea pig riding a guinea fowl! Ideally, he would have paid a guinea for it, but it occurred to me that I had no clue how much either a guinea was worth or the current going price of a guinea fowl, so we should probably just skip that bit.
I have been trying to put together a set of Gearworld paintings for a potential show. This is grim and tricky work, and it's burning me out with great rapidity. However, a friend of mine had the excellent advice--do a set of noxiously cute little pieces, for several days, until my blood sugar levels tremble at the edge of coma and my viewers run shrieking at the cloying adorableness of it all. Then I'll WANT to do something grim and dark and concretey as an antidote to cute. Hey, I figure it's worth a shot... Mixed media, 8 x 10.
