I woke in the night t'other day, clutched the edge of the bed, and said "The time has come...for frog udders."*
This started life as a watercolor, but once I was done, while it wasn't bad, I decided to try it in the more graphical style of my earlier "Kachina Frog" painting, and was more pleased. Was the world ready for cowbell-wearin' Holstein frogs? I dunno. Probably not.
*I know frogs are amphibians. I know that udders are mammalian. I also know that SOMEBODY's gonna e-mail me to point out this basic fact of biology on the assumption that I don't have the brains the gods gave an avacado, and somehow believe that frog milk flows like wine. This is a feeble effort to forestall that.
...Holy shizzat, Ursula, you weren't kidding, were you? ...You never are Geez..it's perfect Incredibly bizzare, granted, but still, I love it...such an excellent embodiment of frogliness...and bovinity as well..everything so shiney, which is perhaps what makes it so startlingly real. I absolutely love the little guy's eye, and the colouring is fantastic--while your ultrascribble style is nice, I like this sometimes, too, and you're equally as good at it. Wonderful job. And, given the subject, I'd say this is obviously getting my . You go, frog woman
..Hrmm. I'm rather surprised lactating amphibians haven't appeared on VCL as of yet, you'd think--*glances at recent uploads*...nope. Scratch that
... for such a clean illustration, that's downright hysterical! ... I especially love the pose, which makes her look like she's clinging to the branch for dear life from the weight...
... and the mind reels at the thought of new products bound to hit the stores: frog cheese, frog yogurt, frog ice cream...

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
