Artist's Comments
The companion piece to "Cuttlefish Hat."
I firmly believe that there is no more beautiful animal in nature than the walrus. I mean, the hide! The hide! It's like--like--walrus hide! It's spectacular! Go look at a walrus if you don't believe me. Seriously. I defy any artist not to be wowed by walrus skin. Given the tusks, it should be pointed out that the walrus sporting this stylish invertebrate headgear is, in fact, a male walrus. To which I say "Look, if we've already got a walrus wearing a jellyfish hat, does a transvestite walrus wearing a jellyfish hat really take us that much farther down the garden path?" Prints available, original 16 x 20 mixed media also available at the time of this writing, visit [link] for either. |

shes feeling unloved.... lets eat her!
I stood upon a high place, and saw below, many devils;
Running, leaping, and carousing in sin.
One looked up, grinning, and said, "Comrade! Brother!"
But I think, with those short tusks, it probably is a female walrus... according to my research.

Too much not enough sleep.
I agree, beautiful skin. :B
