Mannequin by ursulav Mannequin by ursulav
A weird little assemblage piece from awhile back. It's a set of stacked clayboard squares and rectangles, and one of the weird little homonculus figures mounted on a bit of illoboard and haloed with a rusted washer. The little hands are silver Tibetan charms that I picked up somewhere or other.

Original is 5.5 x 6 or thereabouts, and for sale--send a note or drop an e-mail if interested.

ETA: Okay, owing to a coupla interested e-mails about him, he's going to e-bay so I don't have to go over the date stamps with a fine tooth comb...

this one too should be put into the assemblage category. Did you know we have an assemblage category? It's kind of new.

I love the little hommunculus, and I think the bolts and things on the outside kind of add to the manmade quality of him... And the washer!

Strange and atmospheric, but like all your pieces it has a kind of solidity - none of them are airy-fairy or soppy-looking at all. Which is A Good Thing, of course. And the figure manages to convey a great deal just through body-language.

I don't know if you've ever seen a very good comic called Xeno's Arrow [link] but the central figure is rather similar, in that he has extremely simplified features and yet manages to convey complex feeling mainly through posture.

it has something with it... don't know but it gave intersting feeling.
I think it could be from the grunge pattern used in the background compared with the pure white smooth of the figure.

I love the little figure in the middle. Nice, interesting use of found objects. The little hands and the spiral on them, along with the textured uneven purplish rectangles, give this piece a tribal feel. I really like this.
