Prince Of Garlic by ursulav Prince Of Garlic by ursulav
Holy crap, looks like I didn't ever upload this one! From the same timeframe as "Earl of Oregano." May go back someday and change the base of the image to match, if I ever get motivated to do more and make a set of four or something.

I recall doing everything wrong with this painting, so that it took twice as long as it should have. But that's art for you.

Digital, some months ago. Prints available at Red Wombat Studio: [link]

So is he like, offering the garlic? Or does he just like to wander around with it in his hand?

Now I want to see a spice-themed tarot card set. Garlic, Oregano, Cloves, and Paprika maybe. I can almost taste it.

This is wonderful!! The name reminds me of the characters in a Vikram Seth poem, The Frog and Nightingale. he also made up creatures like the 'Owl of Sandwich' and 'The Duck of Kent.'

Looking forward to the rest :D

Adorable! I especially like the charmingly smug expression. And the insects (Servants and hangers on? Friends?). And I can't forget the wombat in the lower left-hand corner.
