Smallest of the jackalope breeds, the rattalope is found mostly in deserts, where it makes its home among the spiny thickets of prickly pear. The rattalope is a nervous little creature, relying more on speed and caution than on the defensive ability of its half-inch long horns. They shun most rodent foods, such as cheese and peanut butter, but can be tempted from hiding with mariachi music.
