This illustration was for Mongoose Publishing's Conan line, for the "Pirate Isles" supplement. (which I can upload now, because the book is out!) I painted a LOT of pirates, the majority of which which I will not inflict upon you. This one, however, stood out--it was a last minute "Do anything! We need art!" spot, very different from the otherwise standard Vallejo-esque body-builders-in-fur-loincloths style that epitomizes the Conan art, and I was very pleased with it.
And c'mon, it's got a monkey. Who doesn't love a monkey?
Painter 7, four or five very frantic but ultimately enjoyable hours.
Awesome! She looks kinda friendly, actually, which is an interesting look for a sea hag. I love the colouring (turquise is one of my favourite colours), the detaisl are wonderfull and the monkey kicks ass! Great job!

What's that McDonald's phase... um... oh ya... "I'm lo~ving it!"
I love to see something other than just *whispers* white people *ahem* in people's drawings. I mean, Japanese people drawing white people, Cubans, Spaniards, Americans, Chinese, Korean, Chilean, Canadian, wtf!? There is beauty beyond just white people okay and I think we all know that now - thanks to Star Trek. nyaa
What a beautiful rendering, the colors are so bold yet not distractive, whemisical yet aluring this piece reminds me of times past, with the over all distinctive that alures me to look yet again and again... Wonderful
