It's getting to be spring here, and that means that we're all losing our minds. The cat tears through the house at ninety miles an hour, rocketing up the walls like a small Siamese tornado. The squirrels are doing unspeakable things on the deck, often while standing in the birdfeeder. I am in Gardening Mode and cannot run an errand without another plant sneaking into the car and coming home with me. My husband...is apparently immune. Regardless, spring makes me loony. I want to dance. This is not a skill I possess, so I don't, but the urge to paint dancing flamenco piggies among the flowering narcissus was overwhelming.
This painting is pure frivolous cute with no redeeming social value whatsoever. My old drawing prof, a tough and humorless woman of great skill and gimlet eye, would die a thousand deaths. AND I REGRET NOTHING!

Ahem. 14 x 17.75, mixed media on illustration board. (rather larger than something this simply needed to be, but I felt like working big.) I like pigs. They have excellent faces. Not a fabulous scan, but there's a limit to what we can do with saturated reds, I suppose...anyway, original for sale, prints available, drop a note or visit [link] for details.
Thanks for sharing.
