I firmly believe that even the most clownish creatures in the animal kingdom probably want to feel sexy occasionally, and absolutely ought to be able to, goddamnit.

Being somewhat clownish myself, I suspect there's a reason I feel that way.

Anyway! 6 x 8, mixed media over digital underpainting sealed to board with clear gesso, and one day I will totally write up this process, since people keep asking...

I've spent some time in the Pacific Northwest. Crested puffins became one of my very favorite birds after spending some time floating around on the Salish Sea. I never realized that they could rock a corset like this but it works, it really works.

Personally I always thought of puffins as being pretty punk rock, or metalheads at the very least. Have you ever heard a puffin's call? It sounds like a chainsaw. No joke. Check it out.
