Ideally, I would have some brilliant story about these three dwarves and why they're cracking open a gate in the roots of a gnarled tree and why the one dwarf has a key and the other dwarf is giving him a "get on with it" look and maybe touching on why the dwarves look like miniature Santas or the exact cause of my favorite dwarf's male pattern baldness.

But I got nothin'. I just wanted to paint tree bark and something with a honkin' big nose and a beard.

Painter 7, Photoshop, Wacom tablet, all digital.

Wauw this is really stunning!!!!

The color sceme makes it really "forresty"
and give the dwarfs a sort of seriousness...

I love the cute little dorf noses! Well, they aren't really little. I want to hug them all, but the one with the key especially. He looks like a runt. ^__^

And for all that you got cool tree bark and three honkin' noses and three beards..which sounds oddly like Treebeard which could get you all things needed in one tree! :)

Anyway awesome painting and my fav dwarf is the little one with the key, thinking he's all that and then some! :)
