The hamsters were definitely my best sellers at the convention. (Who knew?) All the small hamster pieces sold, including this one, which was the one I had been the least sure of, and which therefore had no choice but to be the one that got the most bids of all my paintings. (This is a Law of Nature. Unfortunately, it's a law of nature that knows when you're trying to fake it out, too, so you can't just say "I dunno about this," while gleefully thinking "This is awesome!" because nature and the nebulous and capricious art gods will not only catch on, it will arrange to make the thing fall off the wall out of spite.)
