I have this knack. I never get the animals look majestic or gazing nobly into the middle distance. I get them licking themselves, relieving themselves, drooling on themselves, or god forbid, masturbating. Like meerkats. I've given up photographing meerkats. Those little buggers are perverts. And don't get me started on otters...
