Yes, I know, you come for the stories, but some days the story is "Oh, dude, I have a gold glitter pen! And pearlescent ink! Now what to do....?"

It's been a long time since I painted a frog, and I wanted to do one that fell partway between the stylized and vivid and the realistically rendered--straightforward, but very bright and not quite real. I kinda like his squishy spiral toes.

It was disturbingly fun to paint. Maybe I should do Pueblo Frog or something next...

Anyway! He's about 9 x 10 or therebouts, on a slightly larger piece of illustration board. Mixed media, prints available for $10 plus shipping (send a note or visit [link] for details) and the original is sold.
