Well, the frog sure seems excited to get out for a walk. Or hop. Or, err, whatever.

The inspiration for this was actually serendipitous--I saw a thumbnail and went "Hey! A fat fairy! Cool!" and then clicked on it, only to discover that it was, in fact, the tedious Standard Waifish Fairy, and it had just been a trick of the shrinkage. Irked, I said "Well, it would have been cooler if it was a fat fairy," and then I figured I'd better paint one, just on principle.

Oh My Gods... this is incredible. I LOVE this painting. I love the composition, the painting, the fairy, the frog, the scenery, this is so amazing... I just cant say anything else.

but really this is a beautiful piece.

beautiful job on the colouring and the shading and all the details.

i don't know why, but i just think it'd be interesting to see bits of this outlined in black. :nod:
