A page from the permanently unfinished children's book, "Walrus & Radish." Walrus and Radish are best friends. They fight crime! They climb mountains! Nobody can tell if Radish really does anything, or if Walrus is cheerfully delusional!

My agent informed me that this one might need to wait until I got so famous editors would take bizarre risks on my work. Apparently the pathos of a demented walrus is not conventional children's book material. I could not disagree.

I am the sort of person that would snatch up a children's book like this in a heart-beat. :giggle: I've never seen a more adorable walrus. :D He's certainly a nice looking radish, even if he is useless. xD

'I' would read it. But then I often like quirky ideas and images. Along with a certain amount of irreverence.

I read a children's book yesterday, Blue and Peach. You should read it, and try that publisher.

I still have this old blog post bookmarked. Every time I go on a nostalgia trip through the folder it makes me giggle uncontrollably.

you should submit something to Conan O'Brian's sexy Manatee website...If it still existed. I just realized that it went defunct over the late night debacle with Leno. Oh well.

I'd buy that children's book!

I love your work so much. This 'story' had me giggling hysterically. Someday you'll get a chance to tell "Walrus & Radish!" Although... it's true that it might have to be for an older and more jaded audience.

>>Besides, all the best childrens' books writers are a little off-their-rocker. I'm sure your agent saw this as a good sign. ^_^

I would totally read this book.
And then read it to my nephew and any other children that my brother and sisters spawn.

Hey lady.
Your art makes me smile every time I see it.
I can't say that I have the mental stamina or desire to put up with breeding, but I would definitely buy a Walrus & Radish children's book for myself.
