Artist's Comments
My plan was to lead a life of power and debauchery, then repent on my death bed. The failure of the other party to come to the table put a crimp in my plans, however.
My recent fooling around with self-portraits led me to illustrate one of those formative moments of my youth. I only wish I'd actually had those books... (One of them is kind of a joke--Diane Duane, a fabulous woman and an acquaintance of mine, wrote a wonderful series that started with "So You Want To Be A Wizard." I couldn't resist the homage.) Prints are available for anyone else who wanted to play Faust as a child but was foiled. They're $10 and $20 respectively, plus shipping--send a note or visit [link] for details. |
