The little wolf was following the fireflies. They wandered into the den somehow, and there had been a chink in the back wall that only a very small wolf could wiggle through. He probably shouldn't have gone, but he wanted to know where the fireflies were going. He'd never seen one up close before.

The cave had gotten a lot bigger, and stranger somehow, and the fireflies were staying just out of reach...

A companion piece to "Lost Sheep." I suspect those two are going to meet up somewhere in the cave...
